OBAMARAMA STARTS NOW
\o/
Man, I think I had an easier time voting than a lot of people (ballot mailed to me, than my parents dropped it off at a drop site yesterday. I barely had to do anything but look up all the candidates XD;). I think its so ridiculous and pathetic, though, how poor our voting system is. The number of

Of course, it's what the world with internet thinks, but still, I think it says something.
I'm quite glad about the results, to be honest. Not 100% he's the second Christ!1 or something, but... hopeful, for now. We have to see (though I admit I'm really really really glad about things).

I've had some doubts about Obama, but out of the choices, I much preferred him^^ And he seems more open to listening to advisors etc. I'm hoping too that the momentum from this election and all the resulting exuberance and such will help relaunch the US. And whew, I'm really glad too \o/ (And Palin was...=__=;;)

Me too :/ Definitely don't envy him his position D=

I take it your dad has evolved out of the southern mentality? Good for him! I am a little frightened by McCain's supporters; the booing of Obama during his consession speech showed a very small-minded attitude. >_o

Haha, well, he did move to California at age 12 so...XD But he grew up poor in a small town in Arkansas, so he probably knows what he's talking about (sadly). McCain supporters can be RABID. And so narrow minded (and ignorant! WTH, "socialist"??), as you said. Some old guy standing behind my dad in line today (and they were the only ones in line) suddenly--and loudly--starting talking about how McCain was the only good choice and only idiots would vote for Obama etc etc, basically acting obnoxious. So my Dad promptly turned around and asked what the hell he was talking about XD And my dad doesn't even really support Obama, he just prefers him to McCain/Palin.
I haven't heard about California's standings, but I'm hoping that Prop 8 fails D= A similar proposition in Arizona? passed (but the proposed ban on abortion in S. Dakota failed)

But in any case, its going to be extremely tough, with a lot of challenges to face, and any real change probably won't occur until much much later...but I'm cautiously optimistic for the long run^^;

Of course I'm not telling that the life in our world will be perfect tomorow :)
And that stupid thing in the Big House is still the President until the 20 january... good luck all ! >.<
lol
But what I want to say is that their are more and more people with a strange legacy like Obama (and mine is not so unique Berber are finally more onpened to other races).
People like that feel they are earthling more than just japanese, american, french, morocan, or whatever (and yourself don't you feel it too ?).
Isn't it a pretty good help for a better world ? ^^

He'll have a hell of a job ahead of him though, no president is going to be able to fix all those problems in one term.

Pfft, I'm surprised people still want this job as pres, its got to be one of the toughest jobs around now, what with the recession and all these problems (and mess left over from the previous administration). Yeah, don't envy him his position, but I'm hoping something good will eventually come out of it ^^
