I'm talking about people who want to write as a career. However even if I had no intention of being published, writing is critical for me in terms of relaxation and escapism. TV and movies do NOT provide enough of an outlet.

I used to write a lot of poems when I was about 13 too. I too wrote one recently, but only one. :P

It's all about developmental psychology. A majority of teenagers will feel compelled to express themselves through writing and poetry at this age. Boys might feel it’s more socially acceptable to try and start bands or write song lyrics.

It's a part of the 'discovering self' that occurs in that age group.

It's also why a lot of people get into writing in their teens, but are never able to commit to it as an adult. They lose the passion.

It's called Lifesphere Inc now. More specifically:
Lifesphere Inc
Casebook One:
Aquisition

Also, 2012 is probably a stretch, but I'm glad you're looking forward to it. :P

Oooh, yeah. Game of Thrones has the potential to be very good. I’m extremely hopeful-particularly given how well Spartacus: Blood and Sand turned out. However I have been repeatedly disappointed by fantasy genres on TV. Very, very rarely it turns out okay in movies.

However they always feel too plain to me. They’re not gritty OR elegant enough. You know?
