I recall you mentioning that idea to me at some point. It sounds intriguing, but please don't write some existentialist nonsense - it would even be better if the play were a parody of that.

I think just about any idea is good--it all lies in the execution! I kind of agree with Heff about existentialism. One thing you should probaby address is what gives the coconut guy the right/know-how to judge whether people aren't making sense? Or another way to look at it, the coconut guy may be the impetus or conceit of the play, but the play is really about the people who are irritated and knocked out by the coconuts.
