i was looking for videos of Interpol playing PDA, or anyone playing PDA for that matter, because my homework  assignment for next Saturday is to learn the drum part in its entirety and be able to play against the recording.  so i started looking around YouTube to see exactly how it's done and i came across this video which is really really painful

What are you talking about, this video is adorable. It's one of my favorites. Paul screwing up is adorable. Daniel looking so earnest is adorable. Carlos being a tool is adorable. Sam with long hair is adorable. These are the halcyon days of Interpol, where the boys are fresh faced and ambitious and Paul hasn't started wearing his silly hats yet and the mid-twentieth century eastern european military look was at its peak.

More songs have leaked off of the new album and they are so horrendously awful I want to cry. The thing I loved about Interpol was the powerful subtly of the music and now Paul is singing "I've lived my life in cocaine" over radio-ready riffs. This is the greatest musical tragedy of the twenty-first century.

That was their TV debut! I don't think they EVER had a good TV performance. But yeah, this is one of the worse.
