All very good points. 'cuz seriously, hurting the network that once aired your favorite show? Not productive. AT ALL. I'm glad you've made this post. :)
I think this whole post is patronizing. If you happen not to like anything else on Syfy or want to take a stand by not watching the network anymore you should be able to. It's not all about Caprica anyway, some people are unhappy with the direction Syfy is taking and therefore do not want to support a network they don't like

No, this post was directed at the people who I've seen with my own eyes saying "I'm boycotting Syfy because of Caprica's cancellation." Specifically, there's also people on Twitter right now who watch Sanctuary but & SGU but are deciding to boycott the network and quit watching the shows cold turkey. So call it patronizing, but imo, that behavior? Ridiculous.
what she said. Or like how Farscape fans got the Peacekeeper Wars miniseries (yes, i am old enough to have been a part of that) ... there are better ways to go about it
Tuesday nights belong to NCIS, NCIS: LA, Dancing With the Stars and Glee. Frankly, I think it would've been a gamble to move anything to Tuesdays- one with the odds against them- and, as it turns out, one which didn't pay off. Cancelling Caprica doesn't make me dislike SyFy. Many, many other things do (splitting seasons up left, right and centre; the ludicrous name change; the fact that they actually air wrestling; the moving of SGU and Caprica to Tuesday nights in the first place, etc), but cancelling Caprica was a logical move (considering that SGU didn't fair too well either, I wouldn't have been surprised if the axe came down on them too).
Of course, I'm Canadian, so I don't get SyFy, and even if I did, whether or not I watched it wouldn't account for anything. *shrug*
Oh, gosh. There's quite a few things I don't like about Syfy. I totally agree. I remember back in my BSG days, Syfy made a few decisions that had me going 6.0.
The wrestling is downright odd, but I actually understand it. I BELIEVE (I have to check out a few resources to completely back this statement up) that next to Ghost Hunters, wrestling is their highest rated show. It brings in new viewers to the network. It's actually helped out Sanctuary quite a bit. The premiere, which followed WWE (which had its highest rating in Syfy HISTORY), was up 17% in viewers from last season's average. I personally hate wrestling and cringe through the last minute of it when I tune in for Sanctuary, but hey, whatever works for the network, you know? :)
I didn't watch Caprica but I know it was a good show. I heard it's rating were low. When I heard they under a million I was not surprised the show was canceled. I know how hard it is when a beloved show is canceled. I went through it with SGC, Legend of the Seeker and others
