Yes, I'm definitely planning to finish. Ennis' first few weeks in this totally new environment has been slow going - kind of like the character!

I had the pleasure of reading all 19 chapters back-to-back this evening.

Thank you 100 times over. Just beautiful. And therapeutic as well. But now I'm like the rest of your fans & readers . . . anxiously awaiting the next chapter. Any chance we'll be receiving a "holiday gift" from you? I hope so!

Thanks, and thank you to the other readers too, for hanging in there when I'm so slow to post chapters!

I made a mistake in saying after this most recent chapter that the next one would be coming up right away. Ennis has a lot to get used to in his new surroundings, and that took more research and more drafts than I expected. But Chapter 21 is finished, and I'll be posting it as soon as I get Chapter 22 done.

So many of us seem to both read and write BBM fanfic for therapy. That's a kind of tribute to how deeply it's affected us, and how quickly Ennis and Jack have taken on a life of their own as characters. I do hope the next chapters are as rewarding for you to read.

After I got your previous response yesterday, I had a thought . . . maybe chapter 19 was the "end" . . . maybe 19 was where you intended to leave us with Ennis, Jack and David. . . ya know, kind of leaving it up to us to make a conclusion. Then I got all worried that maybe my post above - asking for a holiday continuation - was a clumsy, insensitive mistake, and that I was not "tuned-in" to where you had taken the characters.

Imagine my surprise & relief when I saw Chapter 20 in my mailbox this morning! How nice. 'Can't wait.
