wow, such attention to detail... loved all the foodie stuff here, and how ennis ended that section so abruptly.. :D but the cheese grits, the fish, the akavit.. very interesting to read.

and ennis, talking to somebody about jack again after only speaking with his wife and mother,, heart wrenching! how sweet that their hands touch, if only briefly.

loved the detail of harbor sounds and the wail of the loon... oh ennis, listen, listen carefully to the sound your heart makes too.

Loved all of this, especially Ennis' inability to understand why people would *want* to walk or run or jog -- that is pure cowboy: they'd never walk anywhere if they could ride horseback instead. Thank you for sharing this.

Dear Marcia (Marge?),

Thias was another nice chapter. I like the fact that the story is not developing in a hurry. This makes it believable.
But it is a huge step the fact that Ennis is mentioning Jack by name. I find David sweet referring to him as ''your jack''.

PS: nice profile on TDS! Something I like to know: you talk about your favorite fics, ''Connections is an AU and Return To Home is canon''. I'd like to know if they are BBM fics and where to find them. I''ve never heard of them. My idea is that if I like you as an author I'll probably like also your favorite fics ;-).
