I'm late reading too. But I was very busy and for sure a positive side is that I'll have to wait less for next chapter...
It was a good chapter. I like the slow developing of a relationship between Ennis and David. I'm looking forward to see more of it.

PS: a layout remark, just for your information: on my screen the sentence starting with: ''The general shout of laughter was interrupted by a waitress who should have reminded Ennis of Cassie...'' goes on the same line forever. Well, almost forever: like some three lines put together, till ''...you’re dressed for work.”
