I suppose that a rational control of your situation is conducive to survival. I suppose you should go with whatever suits you. However, complete rationality is a rare trait and in it's place I'd suggest that irrational fear of everything is the next best thing.

You could, after all, rationalise that Jeff your friendly postman is a polite and charming mamber of society who brings the gift of mail to your abode.

Now, if Jeff is actually crazy psychopathic schitzophrenic mentalist with a gun in his sock. In this situation I think the inveterate coward has the best chances for survival, hidden in his safe bunker 40ft below sea level.

That seems a bit harsh :D there's plenty of things one could be doing while shut away. Like jigsaws or learning how to cross-stich.

Ragardless, my advice, wasn't really to shut yourself away (on the contrary in SQ2 this, as I said, would mean zappage) rather that extreme caution is hte way forward... and i mean extreme caution.
