I'm still amused that I didn't know that place was about 5 minutes from where my family's house is in Kent until I'd lived there for about 10 years...!
You've got some really great photos here - I think this one is one of my top 3 favourite photos though.
We were lucky enough to have Chris Weston come to do a talk/presentation at our club last year, He has some amazing work. And I'm very jealous that he keeps going to Zimbabwe to the lion breeding project that I went out to. Some of his photos are so amazing, Did you see the ones where they dug the pit in the ground and had a stampede overhead?
Thanks, Amanda! I think Chris Weston has stopped doing this particular trip, but they do do them directly - very recommended if you're asking for a present from someone who wants to buy you a day out. In my case cost me a bit more as I needed to rent an expensive Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. I have a wide lens, but it's a fixed 50mm - so you need the combination (as you'll know better than me zoom at narrow aperture won't let you throw the fence out of focus!). Worth doing though - £50 for the lens for a long weekend, rather than the £1700 to buy!
Jealous you've seen Chris's talk. Must see if there's a camera club near here - might make me keener to get out snapping!
