That's right, Sarah Palin is as corrupt as they come.

She tried to get a former brother in-law fired from his job as an Alaska state trooper.  When the public safety commissioner refused, she fired him.  Even the republican controlled state legislature is looking into this ( Read more... )

Don't forget she wants to drill for oil in all the national parks in Alaska. When I was reading about her on CNN I couldn't help but chuckle. God I hope blows up in McCain's face so badly.

Yes, something that McCain is supposedly against. At least, he was a year ago. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he was for it now.

I just feel like he picked the only republican woman he could think of.

Actually, he's rumored to have been considering Kay Bailey Hutchison, Carly Fiorina, and Meg Whitman. Of course, Fiorina was fired from her job running HP for incompetence, and Whitman left before she could be forced out when eBay started going downhill. I don't know much about Hutchinson, except that Texas republicans aren't going to be popular, even their governor.

But yeah, choosing someone under an ethics investigation that could result in criminal charges, well, that's just stupid.

I have a feeling that if Hillary had won the Democratic nomination, McCain would have chosen a black guy as his VP. The media had really played up gender and race during the primaries - and it seems like McCain is trying to take advantage of that...

Do you think he could have found someone qualified who would take the job? Seriously, the only real option he would have for nominating a black man would be Powell, who has openly rejected the idea.

At least Obama had good options. --Personally, I thought he should have gone with a slightly more political pick, but you can't argue with Biden's credentials.
