I installed an operating system on an external hard drive and boot to it to do all my banking, paying bills and shopping. It is like having a second machine without buying a machine. What's great about it is any operating system. I installed windows, mac os and a few Linux operating systems ( Read more... )

thanks for commenting, no one does anymore these days. I love doing things like that, working from a different angle. I don't like posting about something that I have not tried. Because I like to talk about the good and the bad or possible drawbacks. I am a paper hard copy type of person so I am very cautious. So I appreciate the comment :)

Yes, I miss the old days of LJ as well. When friends of a journal would get into a discussion in the comments. Threaded comments are almost superfluous now.

Yes plus people on my F-list friending each other because of those discussions in the threads. I just can't stand other socials, I see it numbing people and changing their personalities. They don't even notice it. I don't even own a cell phone. And I have been in computer tech since the early 90s. Livejournal is the only place I ever liked. Nowadays it is all bullet points and memes. I received this permanent account from my Husband for an anniversary present, in 2006! I was so happy! lolol
