GASP!!

So we are getting some trees removed.  One or two that might fall on our house and one that might fall on our neighbors house.  They have been asking us about getting the tree removed.  How do I broach the subject about asking them to pay for part of it.  Removal on one tree in particular could be around 3000

I wish I knew what to advise.
I'm not good at awkward conversations with neighbors. I wonder if Miss Manners ever talked about this.

I just asked them to come out to look at the trees and straight up asked them. Both neighbors said yes. Neither one seemed to thing it was a big deal and that the trees could wait. I think the one threatening the Hedges is being held up by another tree so i don't feel comfortable waiting.

One neighbor did say that he would need to work out the money situation. He is the one that is totally getting screwed by his insurance company.
