Wasting time in a winter wonderland

For once, the forecast was spot-on. Indianapolis is buried under between 8 and 11 inches of snow, and in my little subdivision, I am completely snowed in. I got stuck in my driveway trying to pull out of the garage, and the snow plows haven't even made their way back here. Looks like I'll be spending my third day on the job sitting at home. I don't

We had a snow day for only the second time since I've worked For Dummies! Woo! Dave had to go in to work today, and I have to agree it was completely not worth it to be out this morning. Stuck, sliding off, or hit, sometimes you just have to make your health and safety the priority.

I just shoveled out my driveway, but they hadn't plowed the street yet. I backed out, turned to the right, and got stuck in the middle of the road. My little Insight only has about 6 or 7 inches of ground clearance, and the snow is deeper than that.

I hope they plow back here soon. I want to go out for something to eat, and I REALLY have to go to work tomorrow.
