if when i die the first thing a colleague says is that i "had great tits... and then i noticed she was smart too" i will haunt the fucking shit out of them because that's disrespectful as fuck.
SM's comments were misguided because they're open for misinterpretation as being like the hypothetical above, even if not meant as such.
for hundreds of years we've been thought of as objects of beauty (or lack of) first, as humans second. can you see how that might lead us to be skeptical of "well intentioned" compliments and comments that focus on our beauty?
