Written for the Fic Challenge: Cutter Meets Danny in Primeval_denial

Danny Quinn stared resentfully at the man who had taken his bike to lead a big scary dinosaur back through the Anomaly, pushing aside two annoying reporters before he'd vanished into the glittering light with the T-rex in tow.
Just to come back with a smile on his face and the excitement of a ten year old boy and, to make matters worse, he was still sitting on the bike as if it were his own.

So this was Professor Nick Cutter, the man the gawky geek had babbled about when he'd sat in the cell.

For the last few days Danny had followed around the three people he had met at that house, hoping to get an opportunity to help them out.

He'd seen himself as the big hero riding in with his motorbike and saving the day. And perhaps getting a date with the beautiful woman with long brown hair afterwards.
Now it seemed the professor would get the tribute.

"Mr. Quinn, I told you to stay out of government projects," Jenny Lewis chided him, already thinking about the papers they would have to fill out because of his interference.
"I hope you'll be sensible to sign a Cease and Desist Order at the ARC by choice. You know where the Centre is located, I take it?"

Danny nodded automatically, feeling inadequate and strangely naked without his wheels.

And the professor still made no move to dismount from the bike.

He watched the soldiers pushing the shaking reporters into a van while the woman climbed in behind them.

"I'll see you at the ARC, Daaaanny," Nick Cutter drawled with a smirk, and started the motorbike. His long hair was flying in the wind as he drove off.

'Fuck!' Danny cursed. That dude was even more tough than himself and he looked damned cool on a motorbike.

And the worst was the adoring look Jenny Lewis had given the bloke. He realised as long Cutter was there he wouldn't stand any chance.

Danny Quinn looked over the now empty aircraft hanger and sighed deeply.

Perhaps it was time to call the mysterious phone number he'd found pinned on his fridge, signed with the name HC, Danny thought, as he started to walk the long way back to the strange building they called the ARC.
