It had been years since she had felt the heat of another person against her skin. Every little touch set her body aflame and took her breath away. She hadn't known how much she had missed human contact until this woman had stepped into her life.
Helen closed her eyes and stifled a cry. Her body convulsed in pleasure as Jenny Lewis brought her skillfully to the brink.
Then Helen lost control and time stopped as she felt her body fly apart, exploding in a million tiny cells now flooding through the air like fireflies in the evening light.
Helen was alone when she recovered her senses some hours later.
Jenny Lewis was gone and with her the portable device Helen had tuned for opening an anomaly on the day she had attacked the ARC.
She had known Jenny had feed her lies and had never intended to stay. But it didn't matter if she rescued Nick. Let her have a few days of bliss with him.
In the end Jenny would return to her. After all, Helen Cutter was the queen of anomalies and she could kill Nick a thousand times more.
