A shadow glided through the night; yellow eyes glowed in the darkness and white canines flashed.
The small animal only had time for a high-pitched cry before sharp teeth pierced its skin.
Seconds later only a few blood stains and some tufts of hair remained from the creature which had pestered the occupants of the house the past few days.
With a satisfied purr the predator licked his mouth and climbed the stairs.
A door opened and light fell on the floor, illuminating a man in a custom-made suit.
"You're a little late tonight, Helen. I have just opened a tray of Sheba Chicken Breast for you," James Lester said and ruffled the petite cat's fur tenderly.
