I'm currently working on a short story. The plot is: a guy breaks a curio as a kid; then meets key people (all still living) from his past as an adult. As he meets them, the curio reforms. When it is complete...well, you have to wait til I'm done...lol

Now, seriously... no matter what you do it will be implied that they have sex, right? The best thing I can tell you to do on this one is go with your gut. The idea, from what I've read so far is that this is a pivotal moment in the plot of the story so a little emphasis might not hurt you.

I would say let it write itself however it wants in the first draft, and then after you read it (and maybe some of us), we'll have a better idea as to whether it will fit in with the story or not.

And speaking as a pro at NSFW scenes...the first one is always a doozy.

It's not pivotal, but it is important. And in my defense, I HAVE read about it, seen it on screen, and done it, so it's not like Raven trying to write one. Just don't expect Hollywood. It'll be more realistic and, yes, it will mess with his mind a bit.

If you're comfortable trying it, then go for it. You can always take it out in the edits if it doesn't flow.
