Computers, and how they can get on my nerves

Luck seems to have run out for me. My second computer, an ageing K6-2 based machine seems to have developed serious issues. Yesterday I turned it on, and it made an odd sequence of beeps and then didn't start. Oh dear I thought. Took the beastie apart and checked for loose connections. Took out the Graphics card and Network card and "hmmmd" a bit

yeah, you're probably right, and it was my first instinct. It turned out the floppy cable was loose, but this was all before I posted originally

Resetting the BIOS through hardware seemed to do the trick and everything appears to be hunkey-dorey again (thankfully!)
