If you're going to go out with a girl, do it because you truly care for her. Not just because. She should be someone you can devote yourself to as much as possible. The thought of other girls should not even enter your head while you're with her (as in going out with her and not just physically with her). Otherwise, it's really unfair. Especially if she's someone who feels that you mean the world to her. I'm not saying that the relationship will start out like that but it might end up that way.

Just... be sure you get over the unrequited love before you go looking for someone else... otherwise it's just some random girl that you're using as a rebound.
