I had to turn down an interview for Barnes and Nobel a few days ago. My own personal work ethic dictates that I will not leave a job in under a year unless something extreme like me moving happens. Just felt it was far too soon to leave Target for something else, and didn't want to have to split my schedule between two jobs. :P The lady I spoke ( Read more... )

Yay for being in demand! :) And since you know they're interested, if your situation changes at Target, you have a pretty good shot at getting in over there. I've run into the employment quandry where I *could* get a job, but I'd have to leave after a few months. Pretty sure that even though it's technically illegal to not hire someone because they're pregnant, people still see the impracticality of hiring a pregnant gal. I was interested in a job at an antique store, and then I realized I'd be getting bigger and bigger (and more klutzy to go along with that) and I'd basically be a hazard in a store filled to the gills with breakable stuff. If I can find a job where my belly won't get in the way, and they won't mind me being gone for a few months, I might put an application in though. I like working. But for now, child care is at least bringing in some monies. :) I like monies.
