talking to friends this weekend about our collective retreat from livejournal had the odd effect of making me think about how i should post

hellllo there! I haven't posted much this year either, but I do read my friend's list from time to time and, well, here you are today. Good luck with your surgery. I embarked on a weight reduction program last Jan 2006 and today I have lost about 50 lbs. which has been no easy feat for me. I know you will do fine with your program because your post gives off that air of "readiness" and when you are ready your determination will pull you through no matter how you decided to go about it. I've failed countless times to lose weight because I was trying in vain, I wasn't "ready" to commit. Blah blah blah, I know ;) Anyway, when you reach your goal please share any info you might come across on skin reduction (I know such a not-so-pleasant side effect of weight loss. I still have another 50 lbs to go, but I can already tell cedrtain areas of my body will require skin reduction. The idea of it scares me, so if you hear of any wonderful Drs. please share?!
Glad to see you here, chugging onward and upward. Your son is gorgeous, you and J are so blessed, which I know you know, but still- what a gift.
It sounds like you're making some really positive moves in your life. I wish you all the best through it- if your determination to become a parent is anything by which to judge, you will enjoy marvellous success.
Love to you and to your family, I hope sweater weather comes soon.
It is strange to see your post today because this afternoon I was thinking of you and wondering if you still check your livejournal because I wanted to get a hold of you. I use to have your e-mail but lost it when my old computer crashed

I just ran across this post, months late, and wanted to say about your surgery that a friend of mine I used to work with has successfully lost over 120 lbs with it. I know you don't have that much to lose, but I hope your experience is as successful as you want it to be. Merry Christmas/Happy New Year and damn, you guys have the cutest baby!
