Yesterday evening, in a discussion of the events of the day, Teo said that he had written a song, and he wanted to share it with us.
He announced this in the way he announces all his stories, the ones that he will occasionally interrupt to ask, "You know this is just imaginary, right?" So I wasn't sure what he'd come up with for his "song", whether it would be super short or actually someone else's song or what.
"This song is called: "There We Are Now" and the song goes like this:
The march went up the hill
The rabbits went down the hill
Yiggety Yiggety Yaggity Yiggity
Yiggety Yiggety Yag
The rabbits went up the hill
The rabbits went down the hill
Yiggety Yag
The march went up the hill
The rabbits went down the hill
The rabbits went up the hill
The rabbits went down the hill
The rabbits went to the woods
The rabbits went through the woods
The rabbits fell into the pit
The rabbits went out of the pit
The march fell into the pit
The rabbits pulled the march out of the pit
Yiggety Yaggety Yiggety Yaggety
------
What amazed me most was that Teo repeated the song several times, with only minor alterations, so that I could write it down for him. He had all his "yiggety yaggety" bits in the same place every time.
There we are now.
