So I picked up a new job, by the same employer, for the same measly minimum wage, but with plenty of more hours and stress and responsibilities. Essentially, I am filling in for the manager of the store who hasn't come yet. He will be coming at some point though, and he will have a lot more training (and a substantially larger paycheque) than I do

Ugh, I wrote a reply to your entry yesterday, but somehow it must have gotten eaten by LJ. (>.<);;

It really sucks that you're working so hard for no greater pay and to be in a managerial position without the perks of the position. It's unfortunate to know you'll be replaced, but at least you're getting the experience and I'm sure that will reflect well on you for later consideration, right? At least things should get a little easier once the store opens so hang in there! You're learning right now so don't stress out too much as they can't expect you to 100% know what you're doing.

About finding a hobby, you need to do a bit of soul searching. Figure out what really helps you relax and interests you. I know I like Halloween stuff, the paranormal, figure collecting and video gaming. You need to find your fit so don't get discouraged as you try to figure out what that is. Just experiment. As we talked about yesterday, there are plenty of fun things happening this month so this month isn't all stress for you hopefully!
