Hmmm, first of all I would think you shouldn't worry about the heart attack thing. I'm not certain if surgery on your elbow would cause problems in your leg but you never know. Nerves are fascinating things and can travel from one part of your body to a completely different one that you wouldn't think would be connected. It could also be that you are spending more time than you are used to off your feet and your body is adjusting to that. One other posibility, you body may do some really odd things as your recovery progresses. After my neck surgery I was affected in ways I never thought I would be. Ended up in the emergency room 2 different times for things that they could never find the answer to and eventually went away with time. Your body has been through a great shock and may do weird things like this to let you know it isn't happy. ;)
I would definitely talk to the Doc about it, if nothing else than for the piece of mind of getting it off of your chest...err ahh leg. ;) Good luck and take care.

It sure sounds like a nerve impingement thingy. You probably knocked something out of line when you fell. A chiropractor or even a massage could probably help. You might get some relief by putting a pillow under your knee(s) when you lie on your back. Hope this helps.

i get that in my arms when i don't drink enough water or i lay around too much. i actually have to lay with my arms straight out away from my body to get them to un-tingle. not even hanging them over the bed helps. i found that this started when i changed my work from days to nites and back again. but then i'm a blonde so weird stuff happens to me all the time!!

well.. all i've done for 4 weeks is lay around so that might be part of it. you sound like you have carpel tunnel! i doubt its because you are a beautiful blonde ;;)

Another thing that might help, since you are laying in bed so much, is to stretch as much as you can. Flex your feet and stretch your calves, lay flat, lift your leg, point it to the ceiling and stretch. Get the blood flowing. Your meds may be interfering with that and stretching frequently might help things along.

I used to have problems with my hands falling asleep and tightness/cramps in my calves in the middle of the night. Now it's become so much of a habit to just flex my feet when i roll over, i dont have that problem anymore.

Good luck to you, and hope you are feeling at leaset a little better at this point.
