Oddly enough, I've had a few random people find my rambling about ling interesting, mostly from pottersues...but yeah, I started locking everything else a while ago.
My initial reaction was "Really? pottersues? I thought those comment threads consisted of two hundred people sporking their eyes out one after another. How would an intelligent comment get noticed?" But at a glance, it seems I was too harsh. That's pretty cool, actually.
There's something kind of sweet about finding out that, years after I got bored with ridiculing the fantasies I secretly shared with thirteen-year-old girls, people are still going at it, and going strong. ILU, angry righteous fans.
I'm not sure what for, but I'm... happy to be still on your list? :D;;
I'm going off to check whether you f-locked your writing entries or not, because I recced your 'Christian Girl with a Dilemma' story to some people (and they never responded about it. ;_; Why was that.)
Also, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess... girl on left at the bottom strip might have been you, and kid with pink socks and blue shorts at the first strip could have been you too. I wouldn't know, you're a bit like Lemony Snicket, master of never-showing-his-face-ever.
But naturally! :D It wasn't much of a selection process; I removed journals I knew to be either dead or neglected aliases. Y'know, you're now one of only...two of my LJ friends whose identities haven't been confirmed to me, but I'm really not worried about you, so, uh, welcome to the IRL club? ^^;
If that's the story I think it is, that's old. ^^; Like finish_the_hat era, right? Eeeeee...
o_O Good call on both counts. How on earth did you get the pink socks? *applauds*
One day, I'll lurk all~ the way to... Toronto. Or somewhere in Canada, I've never been too clear about that.
That was the 'Tamara goes off to a nifty summer/writing camp' era, I think. Was it a summer camp? Or a writing camp? Or a summer writing camp? I remember reading that one, bawling and thinking 'right girl, that's it, you might as well give up while you can because you'll never write something that awesome with only pen and paper and no computer to polish it up.'
(It was that amazing. Is it too late to ask you if I have permission to analyse it for an English class?)
Re: pink socks. Every mother who raised a tomboy always tried to do something about it - and my mum gave me girly, flowery socks. D:
Clarification: I've lived my whole life outside of Chicago, but--*points to now-visible profile location!*--now I go to college in Providence, Rhode Island: smallish city on the east coast. :D Party in the hizouse.
Summer writing camp, you are correct! I went in both summer '06 and '07, and shut up, you are amazing. I still have your award-winning piece saved on my computer. IT WINS. FOR REAL. GLORY HALLELUJAH. Are you still writing these days, lonestoryteller? Life gets crazy, and...lately I can't seem to find the time, or inspiration when I have the time.
I'm still not quite clear on which summer piece, though--was it super long and did it involve people named Dan and Charlie and Liam? I...guess you can analyze it, if you really want, but whatever it was, it couldn't have been that good

So after like, a half an hour of stalking your dead LJ, I have decided the picture of us from Indian Princesses is gone? The one above that has my legs, and possibly yours but I don't remember what your pants/shorts looked like when we were 8. If you do still have the picture and also maybe get LJ comment updates emailed to you so I know I'm even making this comment at all, can you send it my way? kes022 at gmail .
Also, I miss you and if you haven't had break yet (by the time you read this) and also will be back here, we should hang out.
