Day 4 of the new job, and I'm moving my desk

The new cube is nice and quiet. The new team is friendly and welcoming. The new work is ... well I haven't started much "new" work except for some planning. In my head. But that's OK. I have a mini-goal of doing something new with Eclipse UA within the month, so that's fun.

(Since I can't exactly talk about this in my own web spaces.) I didn't get the job. I made some mistakes in the interview that probably account for that. So that makes is a good learning experience and interview practice. It also helped to clarify some things in my mind, so that's good, too. :-)

Sometimes an unsuccessful interview is really valuable, though, and it sounds like this was one of those. The worst is when you NAIL the interview and then do not get the job. I had that happen to me once and the lady who called to tell me I didn't get the job cried because she'd wanted to hire me, lol. It helped . . .I mean I felt so bad for her that I forgot to feel bad for me.
