I don't come here very often anymore. Three years ago I still came daily. It was my passive window into people lives, but others stopped writing and I was only reading about Eric which (nothing against Eric) led to me coming less and less often. No offense taken. If there's only a single author you're seeing, there's no reason to stick around.

I once went three days without seeing another post in my feed except my own. If there had been a fourth, I would have closed up shop.

I still have my friends list open every morning as part of my startup script. My particular blend of perfectionism is more like completeism, and I don't feel I've kept up with friends unless I can read everything everyone has written. That makes Facebook plenty annoying (just when I learn how to tinker to see my close friends' activity and only highlight acquaintances', that process changes) but also means I can't stop checking here in case something isn't cross posted.

Except now it's down to a few people who don't post to Facebook so now it's my only way of keeping in touch.

Your experience of reading through the past is something I find really important; it's difficult, but easier than it used to be, on Facebook, and something I definitely prefer about proper blogs.
