An odd idea, perhaps, and I don't know where it came from, but...

...if the dots of the leopard skin symbolise the stars in the sky (that bit I remember reading about, somewhere), then the funerary priests must wear them because the souls of the deceased ascend to the sky and become stars - but maybe Seshat wears the skin because She knows the number of those stars, and counts the days before each of us joins their company.

Whoa. I really don't know where that one came from.

hi there! i found this journal very interesting and have added you as a friend. just thought i'd let you know.

i have always been intrigued by Seshat, but i've never gotten to know Her all that well. my interest is sparked.
