I'm moving to Amsterdam because I love it there and I miss Europe. I also want to make a documentary that requires me to spend a lot of time in the former Yugoslavia - and it's a lot easier to get there from western Europe than the US. As for my day-to-day life, that I'm not exactly sure about. Maybe I'll get a job in post-production (television, film, commercials, etc) or I might try to go to school at the Binger Filmlab (ever hear of it?). I am not an EU citizen so the whole work permit issue is, obviously, an issue.
you can keep up with me here if you'd like, that's where I write in more detail about my moving-to-amsterdam process. I just use this journal to be a bit more... journaly. :)

Feel free to look me up when you arrive. We have a quite a former Philly expat crowd here, and many of them are more exciting than I am (boring old IT manager). I'd be curious to hear more about your documentary. I did my MFA in film at Temple and taught as an adjunct there and at University of the Arts (which has a different name now).
