I'm even thinking about allowing players to (gasp) bring their own characters.
If you do that, it might be good to impose some conditions beforehand in the event description (e.g., "characters may be brought, but should be starting-level commoner changelings").
I remember ramius_rathorne telling me about an old WoD game at UBCon a number of years ago where the GM allowed people to bring their own characters, no questions asked. The vampire players were most unhappy when he brought in his Garou Ahroun. I seem to recall him telling me that event ended badly.
Good point. I think I would add some sort of clause that requires my pre-approval for any brought in character. Although I do have to wonder how many potential players already have CtD characters from 1968.

I echo having reservations on bring-your-own characters, but pre-screening should probably suffice to mitigate the problem.
