Question: As a fan of Gale Harold, I was shocked by the ending of this week's Vanished. It seemed that he was killed. Can you please tell me what's going on? I can't believe the producers would write him out of the story, since he is the main reason many of us watch. - Andrea M ( Read more... )

Whoa, thats... really freakin' rude. What the hell?

I couldn't discern much difference in his demeanor, alive or dead.

well, I can just imagine Gale reading the scripts, and groaning, "Oh, god, I just got OUT of a show with for shit writing! What the fuck!"

May account for said misery.

But I think Gale did pretty well with what he was given, esp. in that last episode. The character was supposed to be contained and inward due to the history. *shrugs* - it was a pretty badly written show, and the good thing is, that seems to be fairly universally recognized.

I had to laugh at his famous final words to the senator: "But there's something else...." How hokey

Hmmmmph. Well, we all know the ACTORS are to blame for the hokey dialogue... HELLO?

Yeah, I was thinking that too... but the article reads blames the horrendous writing more than Gale per se ("miscast" I do agree with - the dead/alive comment was unnecessary, and unfair).

Well I'll go along with the miscast part. But heh, it wouldn't be the first time and it has happened to bigger names than Gale. I think he'll survive and go onto better things. Vanished will as Roush said.. vanish before long because of the bad storyline. Kidnapped with all it's network backing is already headed for the trash heap.

I've only seen one new show this year that has me interested and that is Heroes. Everything else is just okay or a total snooze.
