There are a bunch of places in Hyde Park that are dog friendly from what I hear, I haven't been down there yet but everyone says its awesome. They have a nice doggie boutique as well.

There are many pet friendly apartments but be prepared to pay a deposit or a monthly fee.

I don't know what area of Tampa you're looking to move to, I live in Temple Terrace in a townhome that I rent. Its pet friendly, lots of people have dogs big and small. Carlton Arms North. Townhomes rent for anywhere between $820-900. The pet fee is like $20 a month, and they require a months rent as deposit. They have one and two bedroom apartments but I don't know how much those are. They give tours daily though.

I like it because theres lots of room to walk your dog with sidewalks and grassy areas beside the lake and ponds.

oh awesome, that's one of the places I was looking at. I have a friend down there that I might be moving in with, I'll have her check out Hyde Park when she gets a chance. Thank you!

Hunter's Green condos anonymous October 5 2007, 23:17:06 UTC
Hi there - welcome to tampa. Is that a greyhound? Tampa has some awesome greyhound rescue groups, I got mine from G.R.E.A.T. I live in a neighborhood called Hunter's Green, it is mostly single family homes but there is a condo "neighborhood" called The Highlands. I found them while searching for a apt without pet weight restrictions, we also looked at Carlton Arms but I think the weight restrictions are between 25-40lbs max. Hunter's Green is just a few miles north of Carleton Arms (i think)It is a great location as long as you don't work downtown - traffic in Tampa is some of the worst I've seen. The condos are individually owned so you have to find listings for them on sites like craigslist. I can't say enough about the neighborhood (clearly :))- it has TONS of greenspace. The condos are right across the street from the neihborhood park and there is an additional 5+ miles of sidewalk! There is a nature preserve you can access from within the neighborhood as well. If that is a greyhound I spy in your pic then join the club! There are ( ... )

Oooh, thanks for the tip but I'm here now and living in Fisherman's Landing. very pet friendly and a VERY nice apartment complex.
Yeah I had looked into Carlton Arms also but the weight restrictions stopped me. there isn't a restriction at all here.

Oh, and the pooch in the picture is a Whippet :D

If I ever need to move I'll definitely look into Hunter's Green first. Luckily I haven't had to deal with too much traffic, I work at Petsmart so it's pretty close and I can usually avoid rush hour. thank you for all the info!
