It was at the Humane Society- there's a room called the Cat Ward where new kitties, kitties who had surgery and kitties being held for observation go. It is not open to the public, which I like b/c I don't have people asking me questions - I can just focus on loving the kitties. I'm usually the only person there. The ones in there get less attention than the ones on the floor. There is a row of cages floor-to-ceiling tall, big enough for a human to fit inside. Each has this little cot-type thing big enough to fit my head & most of my torso on. I laid on that to make room for each kitten. I especially melt over interacting with the shy ones- how they are hesitant at first, but then come to trust you & cuddle like the others. I would love to foster kitties someday. I don't have the time of the extra space (to keep them away from Whiskey) right now.
