He would fight her, fight her until he had no fight left.

Fight 'em till you can't.....

I really like the scenes with Kara and Kacey. That little one softens her right up. :-)

And Laura's all, "well, duh" abut Lee and Kara. Hee. Nice insights by Madame Prez about their relationship.

I'm so glad you and many others are liking the interaction between Kara and Kacey. I do love writing those scenes so it's nice to know it's coming through. I've always felt that Laura was far more clued in than just about anybody else regarding what was really going on between Lee/Kara. And I like the fact that she can tell Adama exactly how it is! Thanks for reading and responding.

Everybody needs some plot sometimes. And yours is ever intriguing.

I was particularly touched by Lee's doubt and renewed faith in his relationship with Kara at the end. Very nice. :)

I really didn't want Lee to backslide after having his conversation with Sam, since I think Kara is going to need more covincing that this is really going to work between them. So, instead, I needed him to just stick with it. I'm glad it worked!

I finally got all caught up with this and I am loving it! So many different layers, Kara's dealing with the trauma of New Caprica, Lee being there for her, the sleeper Cylons awakening, and little Kacey...you are doing a great job of balancing all these things. Looking forward to more!

Welcome! So glad you like this story. As I'm sure you've seen by all the author's notes this story is very important to me as I feel the trauma from Post-NC was never properly dealt with. I'm very glad you think I'm juggling all of my plot points well - it is quite a few balls to keep in the air. :)

Saul searching his room to find a device broadcasting the song made me laugh!

The scene between Kara and Kacey was lovely.

And I love Lee's thoughts about his relationship with Kara, this one in particular : "he had allowed his pride and her brash persona to act as a deterrent to something lasting and good between them."

It's so true isn't it? So much between Lee and Kara could have been avoided if either of them had just checked their pride/ego at the door. *sigh* But I guess that's part of why we love them. Thanks for reading and responding!

Well, I'm out of the country right now and thought I'd troll through LJ and see what I could find and TADA!!! There were TWO new chapters from you.

Last chapter - oh goodness hon! I have such a difficult time with broken Kara. You made me ache for her, especially with her confiding in Lee about her experiences with Leoben. *shaky sigh* I love that you've gotten her to a point that she is CAPABLE of confiding in him. It speaks volumes about their relationship.

The part that really shone for me from this chapter was the Kara / Kacey moment, especially viewed by Lee. (Makes me think he's seeing more of himself in this scenario too :) The relationship between Kara / Kacey strikes me as one of the very few 'good' things from the Occupation.

Looking forward to more. *hugs* K :D

Yay! I'm so glad you decided to ... troll. :-p I'm so glad that my broken Kara is working. I always fear it's too much and not in character, but as you reminded me, I have to trust my instincts regarding the story. I love Kara/Kacey too. So much possibility there for Kara and Kara and Lee. I love using that little girl as a foil for their relationship. :) Thanks for reading and responding from whatever foreign land you're in!
