i think together we can establish that university applications suck :-) and are majorly damaging to self-confidence... I hope you feel better soon, emotionally and otherwise...but what you're doing sounds fantastic. I love green curry!and wish I could cook it properly...did you like Mrs Dalloway? I'm just starting to write a way-too-long comparative study on it. or well, that's what I should be doing instead of hanging about on livejournal.
Hehe yes I am sorry about your nasty uni experience so far... I'm not too worried about mine, really, but hearing what happened with you scares me shitless when I think about it! *eek* My grades are really good too & I got great SAT scores, so I'm in a similar boat to you, so... um. Good luck with the rest of them!
Hehe if I lived in England I would pop round and teach you how to cook green curry!! I wonder if you could get all the ingredients there, though... Galangal, Kaffir Lime leaves, lemongrass, etc...
Yes I did like 'Mrs Dalloway'. I like the way she writes, I love knowing what's going on in the characters' heads, and it makes it come out sounding more... honest, in a way, I think. Good luck & have fun with your comparative study! :)
Hey Beautiful!ryan_singerNovember 20 2004, 18:45:49 UTC
the clouds are nice & the temperature has gone down a bit so that it's still on the hot side of warm, but it's not sweltering as it has been. BUT, the clouds have made me sad, too, because cloudy days always make me feel all cuddly and I have no one to cuddle, here.
Having the opposite problem myself, last couple of days have been really sunny and nice and I wanted to walk and talk and play with you and I couldn't. You'll be back pretty soon though. Want me to pick you up from the airport?
I love you.-Ryan
PS - My left shoulder was hurting last weekend, wierd that we picked opposite sides.-R

Hi Ryan :)
Well, today it's all sunny & nice over here... Which means it's too damned hot for me, of course... ;) I hope there will be some nice sunny days when I get back, so we can play in the sun. :) :)
That's so sweet of you to offer to pick us up, and of course the sooner I see you the better ideally, BUT my mum already offered and I accepted, AND it will be your birthday & you should be relaxing and doing fun things, not picking up tired Tamsins from airports. I'll see you the next day, though, right?!
I'm sorry your shoulder was hurting. :( Mine's nearly better today. It would have been even wierder if it were the same side...
So when you get back we know what you will be makeing at our dinner party, right? I hope you're taking lots of pictures, it sounds amazing.
I can't even imagine having to force myself to focus on college apps. on a trip like that, it would come out being all about food! Ie-what can you contribute to the campus? Response - Yummy Thai food? Ahh, the old curry bribe!
