At long last... 25 random facts about me

Mar 12, 2009 15:04

To counterbalance all of the emoness of my last few posts, I give you the endlessly essential, timelessly trivial 25 random facts about me:1. I had to wait until I was invited to do one of these. Inviting myself just felt rude or presumptuous ( Read more... )

#5--me, too. I don't like that about myself.
#17--I've suggested for years that my primary contribution to the world could be consultation. I have NO IDEA why people don't consult me on important decisions more often! (I typed "conslut" first--definitely not that.) There would be fewer typos (in spite of possible evidence to the contrary)! There would be rejoicing! Come, people!
#25--Very cute. :) Husbands are nice.

Perhaps we should start a consultancy agency where we tell how to live their lives. Then again, they probably wouldn't listen. Sigh.

Hey Tamsin...what's your "favourite...colour"?! Hehe Just for your British spellings I am denouncing your girl from Norway status in #13 and inserting GIRL FROM ENGLAND! haha P.s. I got a job=less of a chance of me coming up for spring break, but I think Cody is.

Aww, I'll be sad to miss you, but understand that having an income trumps even a week with me! But April, baby! We'll come see you then :)

As to #13...I just think of you as Tamsin, cute, perky, wonderful sense of humor-Tamsin.

I love colors too. I especially love the way fruits and vegetables look sitting together in a farmers market, or just the grocery store for that matter, yeah, weird.

Thanks for posting this. I feel enlightened and highly entertained.

I know exactly what you mean about fruits and vegetables. Sometimes I'll cut into an avocado and just have to stop and enjoy the colour and texture before enjoying the taste :)

And I heart you, mother of all Huffiness. Just think of all the wonderful people I would have missed out on if it wasn't for you!

Elf-indulgent made me giggle too; it is hard not to spoil those little guys.
I also love linens; don't you wish you had an entire closet devoted to them? Which you could then organize by size, purpose, color and so on.
By the way, I really want to come up for a visit, but the next three Saturdays are full of bridal showers, bee hives and primary activities, yeesh. The next free one is April 11th, how ridiculous. I can't think that far ahead, but do know that we are thinking of you guys and thinking about when we can sneak away for a visit to the museum with you!

Oh! My heart got so happy when you talked about organizing linens! We do actually have a linen closet in our house, it just doesn't contain the type of linens I dream of. One day!

As far as getting together is concerned, we have a couple of options:

1) We could wait until April 11th (I'm sure it will be here before we know!)
2) We could try another day than a Saturday. Friday nights are good for us, and a good Sunday dinner never goes amiss, right?
3) We could come up and see you. That way we could do a weeknight and you wouldn't be stuck in traffic forever.

Whatchathink?

Sorry I'm a lame commenter - (Bonnie) - I do always read your blog anonymous March 13 2009, 16:06:41 UTC
#15 - hehe
#16 - me too. I purposely dislike things that are trendy. Matt suggested a perfectly good baby name the other night that I really think is cute. My only problem with it is that too many other people like it too. I don't want to be trendy and appear to have no individual tastes and preferences. Still, it's a good name. What do I do?

In baby naming, I think it's perfectly wonderful to avoid trendy names. How many Jennifers and Ashleys do you know of approximately our age? How lame would it be to have to label your kid as "trendy baby name P" because there were three other kids in the nursery with her same name. Blah.
