Well, I found out from gkrikket that my ex has gotten a motorized scooter. Per his request, I've been staying away from his LJ. My health problems have gotten really bad and it's next to impossible for me to walk for any length of time. So dummy me, I sent him an email asking him about his scooter and if he found someplace that sells them used or

Don't bother, he's obviously not ready to deal with me at all.

Have you told him about your epiphany? I think you should at least try. But keep in mind that people deal with things very differently sometimes, and it can take a long, long time to heal from an emotional blow. Yet it's important to make the effort to reach out, even if he is not ready to hear it.

For all that I've long since moved on with my life and am happy and a better person these days, I still don't forgive my ex for all the things he did. Maybe one day I could be convinced that he is truly and sincerely sorry (and not just playing games yet again). But I haven't seen that yet.

It's kind of hard to tell him about this. I'm sure he deleted my email as soon as he saw who it was from. Either that or he has me on a filter of some sort that deletes emails from my address. I've made the effort, the rest is up to him.

I'm much happier in my life too. I don't blame you for not being able to forgive your ex, he is scum for what he put you through. Unfortunately, my ex puts me in the same category as your ex.

I've tried to make peace with him but I guess he's still unwilling to do the same. The next contact will have to be up to him, I've already tried several times.
