Below is my list of non-Torchwood AUs. Don’t expect anything original, I’m afraid. Some of them are plots for films or novels that I either haven’t seen or don’t have the patience to sit all the way through but I like the idea. the stories that appeal to me most would be the following:-
CHALICE
CSI CARDIFF
EARTHLIGHT
ON HER MAJESTY’S SERVICE
THE SEAGULL

my personal opinion is that stories that delve into the Celtic background of Wales can provide both drama and romance ... I like the idea of archeologists as well, or investigators ... as it allows them to develop similar skills to those they would have had in Torchwood (RIP) ...

Thank you! Being Welsh I am hopelessly biased in favour of the background to my country and I like the idea of something a little less US-orientated, which series seem to have to do these days, in order to be successful.

you're welcome - I have an Irish background myself and can appreciate the 'feel' a Celtic slant can have on a tale ... and you're sadly right about the tendency to Americanise a series in an attempt to gain critical acclaim and/or funding ... the Torchwood I fell in love with was unapologetically Welsh and as far as I'm concerned that's the Torchwood I shall seek out in future, even if it will only ever exist in fan fiction

Okay too many good choices.

White Roses is very similar to a reel tw idea I've got going on at the moment.

I like the idea of Timeless and Chalice. Oh and Could it be magic.

(Too be honest I like a lot of them!)

2. Timeless
3. The seagull
4. Love amongst lilacs
5. The lighthouse
