Location of Torchwood Two

Having now been to Glasgow - and what a jewel of a city it turned out to be and I am so going back there for a better look later on this year! - I have now confirmed what I had originally planned. The 'odd little man in an office' will remain just a cover to distract potential troublemakers and the real Torchwood Two will be situated under the ( Read more... )

Glasgow was fantastic> My friend and I only had a chance to scratch the surface of it so I'm definitely going back. Everyone was so friendly and kind and it was just all different kinds of awesome.

But yes, the Necropolis is this huge granite outcropping that looms up over Glasgow itself and it is amazing. It could easily fit a base the size of the Hub inside it without any kind of strain.

That looks really cool. I've never been to Glasgow but would love to go. I got to go to Wales last December and it was amazing. My mom though it was amusing that I found the "tourist office" on the Plas in under a minute after arriving there. The Ianto shrine was up to. The lights there at night were really pretty.

Obviously I still think that Cardiff is the most brilliant city on the face of the planet (biased? moi?) but Glasgow is also very, very cool.

I love that the authorities have allowed the Ianto shrine to stay up.

I think they enjoy the publicity that it's brought to the area. People have been traveling from all over to see that spot and while they are at it they provide business for the surrounding shops. I had my first welsh cakes from a little store nearby when I was there. I am addicted to those things. I really want to go back but since I don't have the funds to go myself I have to rely on my mom wanting us to take another trip there. Luckily she enjoyed the trip in December and want to do it again. It was fun. The two of us ran around London and Cardiff for a few days and went to see John in Robin Hood. I still crack up over the fact somebody there turned to me and asked where my accent was from. I stared at her like an idiot for a few seconds before realizing that compared to everyone else there, I did have an accent.

Never been to Glasgow... but see a lot of merit in your theory :D

(useless piece of infomration: I learned English with Nessie and Archie and their friends when I was 10 - yes, they taught English to German kids with Scottish Characters - go figure :D)

I love the idea that they taught English using Scottish characters!

God I love that icon...

It's ironic... English people would point out that Scotland is separate and this is therefore not good!

mind you, we also had a ghost who could swap heads (black hair and red) and his three sisters, witches who were 333, 666 and 999 years old - I was ten, it made an impression!

I love the fact that someone made an icon of an event I was actually at! Oh yes, first con and I get to see that :D
