Still alive!
Although you wouldn't think it judging from the last time I posted here!
First and foremost, I have not abandoned Torchwood fandom - or rather, I haven't abandoned the pre-COE Torchwood fandom. Still deep in denial about that and utterly indifferent to the new version that will be coming out. Not even my continued fondness for Barrowman will induce me to watch that, as I refuse to consider it to be Torchwood. (Oooh, I can just tell they're all shaking in their boots now, but I don't care.) I fell in love with a specific piece of magic and I just won't accept an inferior model.
I'm still writing, although I sort of wish I could sit down and write a short story instead of the endless epics that persist in taking over the keyboard. I am writing, though, and happily overwriting everything that the Cursed One considered to be important.
My internet access has been appalling to non-existent. The housemate, bless her heart, also had her computer trashed by a virus and then ran into problems with her internet provider. She now has internet access which is painfully slow although she has been promised better things in an indeterminate future. The computers at work that were open-access are still supposed to be broadband but I'm certain something has gone wrong as loading LJ has become almost impossible. I can get on sometimes but as the open-access computers don't have Word on them (they are purely for surfing) uploading has become something of a challenge.
I'm currently on holiday back homein Wales and have popped into an internet cafe. It's a relief to be free from hulking great teenagers who are weirdly obsessed with what I'm doing on the computer and persist in reading over my shoulder. Lord knows what they would have made of my reading a slash story!
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I AM still writing and I really hope to be able to upload some of the stuff that I have been doing soon. I refuse to say when as Murphy might be listening. I really miss LJ and hope to get back with you soon.
