Today is my 55th birthday. All in all, I'm not in too bad a shape, though if anyone knows a good place to trade in spines, knees, elbows, and shoulders drop me a line, OK? Spouse very kindly baked me a sour cream/poppy seed layer cake. It's in the oven now, and will eventually be decorated with lemon curd (not really decorated, as such--more ( Read more... )

HBD!!! Weird, I always thought that we were closer in age. That's what happens when you know one sibling in context of age and the others only from SCA & fandom, not school....

Yeah, I've got six years on Ben, but there's a whole wodge of people between me and him that I hung out with--Dan Woycke, and like that.

Those guys were going to take Danny K out for his 21st birthday -- and then they realized that he was the oldest of the bunch. I think he & I are almost the same age.

OTOH, I tend to hang out with people of varying ages, not necessarily mine own. But I knew you were old enough to have grown kids...
