How cold is it?

For the third day in a row, I've overheard people in the elevator at work, complaining about how cold the building is.  I have to agree, as I wear a sweater at work most of the time.  I find it amusing that the building company have been telling us how much energy we're saving by using revolving doors instead of the regular doors, when by ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh, as someone who is always cold, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. After the 2003 blackout, my employer had a special week of "high temperatures" - ie, in a sweater, I was not cold. It was fantastic!

At our place, Kish and I have had the air conditioning on about twice all summer. Granted, we are out during the hot times, and we have great air circulation - but still, argh!

Oh, I am always astounded by how freaking cold office buildings are in summer. As I sit in my office, shivering, i gaze longingly out at the sunshine through my window, lamenting the colossal waste of energy being expended to keep me uncomfortable. Having thermometers in offices would be such a good idea...

Going up to Sault Ste Marie on the bus, they had the AC cranked so high that I couldn't sleep that night because of taking a chill. Sometimes I wish it had never been invented.
