Chinese snow, and a small tale.

As a preface: Not only do I [the writer] acknowledge my own existence, I have the gall to address the reader in this small morsel of prose. If this offends you, the reader in any way, I am sorry, but it is too late now. I hope you are able to reconcile by either continuing to read in defiance of your sensibilities, or by quickly forgetting me ( Read more... )

Ahem....I can taste/smell static too, remember when we were talking about it in Vertebrates?! I was so suprised that I had actually found someone else that could taste/smell static like I could!! We are two of a kind Jacob my luve. Ah Gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh.

Oh by the way have you ever seen Clockwork Orange? If you have: The scene when Alex is walking through the music store reminds me SO much of you. Whenever I see it, its a mixture of the background music, how he acts, and his speech all combined remind me of you. Oh Bliss! Bliss and heaven.

I am suddenly struck with this memory: plodding downstairs in the house of my childhood and simultaneously hearing/having a mental "click" that the television is on, without actually hearing any sound from the TV. I always felt special that I could sense when a television is on, even when the sound is muted, even when I'm dozens of feet away from and/or above it. Especially when I learned that my sister couldn't.

There was also a small period where I would lick the static off of the TV screen after it had been turned off.

I also have that static feeling. I think that is also how theflaminghq and I can sense when a tv is on, or is going to be turned on. I love this entry!!!

smaste makes perfect sense.
it allows us to taste things we know we'd probably never actually consume/eat, (well maybe some people would consume, like pine sol, then their stomachs would explode.)
tv static/snow has a crisp smaste cause of the electricity factor, but it also smastes much like stale water. it kind of crackles like pop rocks.
