Yeah... everyone on campus recieved this e-mail yesterday. Apparently is isn't actually from the college republicians... however they have yet to send out an apology e-mail.... whatever... needless to say, I was a quite offended ( Read more... )

Actually, classes today clarified that it was in fact not sent from the Poli Sci department and that a student hacked into the system and sent it.

My concern now would just be why the College Republican's (1) would allow an inappropriate e-mail (even if just to test the level of offense) to be sent out with their name attached to it and no disclosure of why it was sent. And (2) if it was a hacker, why no follow up e-mail was sent by the Party, defending the reputability of their name.

For an e-mail containing content such as this to be sent out by the Republican's or the Democrats is entirely distasteful.
