OK, I've been pretty satisfied with the inevitable changes and differences of interpretation in moving from the books to TV on Game of Thrones, but tonight's episode officially carried a particular trend once too far.

Seriously, why do the producers of the show loathe Daenerys so very much? From the second I saw that platinum stripper wig I knew that character was being given a tough row to hoe. The only moment of agency she's shown so far is initiating grope sessions with her handmaiden for the purpose of helping her barbarian husband enjoy raping her more. It's gotten so every time the camera pans over to the dragon eggs I start moaning "HAAAATCH." I just want something to happen in her storyline that isn't more subjugation.
