First of all, you wrote Blood Ties fic - glee!

I like this idea, fleshing out the historical side of things, giving Henry a real life place in events that occurred. It also felt like a mother/son type of moment, as opposed to the 'flirting' the others saw, which gave Henry's "strengthened by her conviction" more weight.

But most importantly - glee!

Also, if you haven't been watching Merlin, you should. It's a good show, one I think you'd enjoy. It's available on dramatic_eps. Episode 9 just aired, so you're not too far behind.

Thank you!

I've been hearing about this Merlin thing. I thought it had something to do with that old Sci-Fi miniseries. XD I'll make sure to check it out!

I'm watching Blood Ties again. I love it to pieces.

Anyway, I'm fascinated by the idea of looking back with foresight or whatever it's called. We know what's going to happen to both of them - so the conversation is so weighted. And sad.

A compelling interpretation of Henry's history. And very sympathetic to both characters. I'm curious as to how Henry might look back on this from the present though. Just, you know, for academic's sake. *g*

I seem to remember in one of the books (or maybe the show?) that Henry talked about how Anne Boleyn tried to kill him on numerous occasions, so I'm not sure how plausible the story is given Henry's feelings on the subject. But I had been reading a biography on Henry VIII and thought about how fun a story about the two of them together would be. But then it got angsty. Just like most things I touch.

Just randomly - which is your favorite ep of Blood Ties? I'm partial to 5:55, but I love hearing what everyone else's is. Yay for small fandoms!

You know, without even remembering which one "5.55" was, I thought, 'ooh, i like that one where she repeats the day over...'and then I went to look it up on Tv.com and, of course, it's "5.55." Heh. I think that episode hits a real height for them. It's dramatic, emotive and fun and Christina gets to bust her awesome acting chops.

I also like "Heart of Fire" and "Norman." "Norman" is plain good fun. "Heart of Fire" did great things for the vampire canon in Blood Ties. Loads to think about.

I read a couple of books - didn't really appeal to me. i think I recall the Anne Boleyn comment though but I can't remember if it were tv or the book. And just because she was nice to him on occasion doesn't mean she didn't want to kill him - people are complicated.
