This is so, so lovely. I think it might be my favourite piece of yours, writing wise. Everything is so stunning, and your wording is insanely gorgeous in this, I don't even know where to begin.

basically i have a lot of zayn feels and there is not enough zayn-pov (well-done or otherwise) fic or fic that doesn't turn him into this weird caricature and i jsut feel very overwhelmed with awe and love at your skill rn. you hit every button i didn't even know i had.

and i know what you mean; so much zayn-centric fic is either terribly off-mark or it just feels ill-fitting, somehow? if that makes sense? (my zayn tends to lead towards the ill-fitting, i think, but i'm trying!!)

it's just, the way you write him is so... internal, which really works. the sparse dialogue and the slow cadence of even very important, emotional things just fits because that's how (i think) zayn is, he's very internal, stuck in his own head a lot of the time. this doesn't mean he's a robot or inattentive or oblivious, he just speaks about a tenth of what he feels and thinks and just -
both this and the fic that killed me (lol) capture that so well and just give this boy such complexity without turning him into some weird "perfect" caricature of a teenage boy, if that makes sense? he feels things but he isn't always melodramatic - and like, you gave him comparing niall the fucking SUN of all things such a lovely spin, a movement away from what i feel is the ever-present melodrama in this ( ... )
