This has been a fun day. This morning Richard, Casey and I rode our bikes down to Penny's dinner/cafe to meet my parents for breakfast, for 8am. I ran into my step nephew who now works there and caught up a bit. I know what you mean by hot and humid.. has been miserable here. Rained a bit this afternoon, but then just go yukk again.

Well at least you have had a fun Sunday.

Is that THE BLACK EYED PEAS RECIPE.. HEHE

Yes but it was a bit bland so I'm going to try a combo of your recipe and it, first though I'm going to try and add the diced tom/jal.peppers to the leftovers and see how that is. The other was a great bean salad that I'll be eating for days and don't mind. I've had it in a tossed salad, on it's own and I think I'll try it in a soft taco shell. Yummy stuff. Good Night

bean salad sounds good. the hoppin johns stuff will taste bland unless you make it a little spicy with hot sauce and jalepenos.

My husband loves it with sausage.

My daughter is vegan and I'm almost completely there but def. vegitarian and my husband is 70% vegitarian. That's what I've been working on. I noticed it was better with the hot sauce, as I kept adding more to mine. But the two Jalepenos that I sauted with the other vegies wasn't enough, so I'll try more next time. This made enough for 6 maybe, how many jalepenos would you suggest to make it pretty spicy but not fire?
